Morgan Sindall in further management shake-up as southern managing director exits

Morgan Sindall’s managing director for London and the South of England has left the business after 10 months.

Ian Cheung joined the group in February this year, replacing outgoing managing director Tony Dixon, who departed after less than a year with the company.

A Morgan Sindall spokesman said: “As we continue to consolidate our business, Ian’s role has become redundant and he has left the company.”

This is the latest in a string of senior moves at the contractor, with three more directors exiting following Mr Dixon’s departure.

They were commercial director Martin Pitt, commercial director for the London region Andy Fookes and construction director for London David Diboll.

In the North of England, Morgan Sindall recently hired former GB Building Solutions managing director Andy Hall as MD for its construction north business.

The contractor also appointed ex-Shepherd director Richard Fielding as area director of the Midlands, reporting directly to construction MD Pat Boyle.

The firm is currently on the hunt for a North-east area director.
