Mott MacDonald names new North-east boss

Mott MacDonald has appointed London technical director Phil Redman to lead its North-east business.

The consultancy said Mr Redman would become director of its Newcastle office, succeeding Alan Hymers, who retired after 13 years with the company.

Mr Redman, a chartered building services engineer with 25 years’ industry experience, joined Mott MacDonald in 2002.

He said: “Having grown up in the North-east and still having strong personal ties to the area, I’m thrilled to be able to bring my knowledge back for the benefit of the region.

“Mott MacDonald’s commitment and connection to the North-east stretches back to the construction of the Tyne Bridge and we remain focused on delivering best value and sustainable solutions for our clients.”
