Senior director Gavin Taylor to exit Chinese developer BCEGI

The operations director of Chinese developer and contractor BCEGI is leaving the business at the end of the year.

Gavin Taylor has been with the company for three years and will be replaced by company director Dongwen Yu.

Mr Taylor said: “I have immensely enjoyed the past three years working with the company.

“It has been a privilege to work with the team and I am sure BCEGI will continue its expansion and success here.”

Mr Yu joined BCEGI in 2009 and has 15 years of overseas experience in construction management.

BCEGI current projects include the £800m Airport City development at Manchester Airport (pictured), where it is an equity and construction partner alongside Manchester Airports Group, Carillion and the Greater Manchester Pension Fund.

It is the main contractor on the £700m Middlewood Locks development for Scarborough Group International and is an equity and construction partner on Manchester’s St Michael’s residential tower alongside Gary Neville and Ryan Giggs’ Row Development Partnership.
