Interserve scoops hospital deal

Interserve has been appointed lead development partner for the construction of a new community hospital in Yorkshire.

The contractor will deliver services worth £15 million in Beverley for NHS East Riding of Yorkshire.

The hospital is set to include a 30-bed in-patient ward, an out-patient department, mental health services and a base for the Neighbourhood Team.

Interserve will lead a team including its own in-house engineering, healthcare planning and building services experts alongside specialist partners in other fields.

NHS East Riding of Yorkshire chief executive Ivan Ellul said: “Appointing Interserve as our lead development partner is a major step forward for the project, which will move towards seeing work starting on site next year.”
