Interserve has won a two-year extension of its £20m security services contract with the BBC.
The contractor has been providing security services for the broadcaster under the corporation’s National Security Contract since April 2014.
Interserve handles all manned guarding, close protection and control operations at sites including Broadcasting House in London, Pacific Quay in Glasgow and Media City in Salford. It also provides further workplace and support services including maintenance, mechanical and electrical, signage and waste management and cleaning.
Interserve director of operations Tom Ward said: “We look forward to continuing our work with the corporation for a further two years.”
The account extension will start in early 2017.
