Lovell chosen for £3.5m Glasgow high-rise refurbishment

Affordable housing specialist Lovell has won a £3.5 million tower block refurbishment scheme in Cambuslang, Glasgow, for West Whitlawburn Housing Co-operative.

Under the deal Lovell will overclad the 12-storey Roslin Tower – which houses 72 flats – on the West Whitlawburn estate with a new aluminium rainscreen cladding system.

The firm will also decorate internal communal areas and replace kitchens and bathrooms at six flats on the top floor of the high-rise.

Work on the refurbishment programme is set to be completed in February 2010.
