Michaela Strachan to front skip hire ad campaign

Michaela Strachan of Wacaday and Really Wild Show fame has become the voice of an East of England skip hire firm’s latest advertising campaign.

Ms Strachan is promoting the Cambridgshire-based skip hire service of Mick George under the theme “nature’s dustbin”.

Mick George is a leading supplier to the construction industry in East Anglia and the East Midlands, specialising in providing bulk excavation and earthmoving services, aggregate supply and waste management services.

In the series of radio adverts Ms Strachan observes a species of the “Great Yellow-bellied Mick George Skip” that is “easily identifiable by its glossy yellow coat and unique markings” and which is considered to be “nature’s dustbin”.

The creature is described in further ads as being “capable of consuming many times its own body weight”.

Managing director Mick George said: “We were delighted when Michaela agreed to be the voice in our new ad campaign.

“Her credentials as a presenter are impeccable and we feel she reflects the environmental values that Mick George adheres to.”

Mick George’s new radio ads are to be aired from the 19 June on Heart FM in Peterborough, Northamptonshire and Cambridge.
