Morrison win £4.6m Fort William sports facilities job

Morrison Construction, part of the Galliford Try group, has secured a £4.6 million contract with The Highland Council to redevelop the sports facilities at Lochaber High School, Fort William.

The first phase of a three phase development will involve the construction of a new sports wing that will provide indoor sports facilities, including a four-court sports hall, gymnasium, fitness suite, drama studio and new changing rooms.

As part of the development, a separate entrance to the 2,500 sq m complex will be created which will include landscaping and an external performance venue which will be designed in consultation with pupils.

The sports facility is set to open in October 2010.
