Roundhouse revival

Nottingham-based Hiltons Building Services has completed the mechanical services work for a £48 million project to transform Derby’s Grade II listed Roundhouse building into a flagship campus for Derby Collage.

Hiltons was awarded the £3.3m contract by Imtech Goodmarriott & Hursthouse.

Its role was to design and install the mechanical services package as well as to handle the 3D CAD co-ordination of the mechanical and electrical services information. Hiltons worked alongside Imtech, who carried out the electrical installation.

The redevelopment project has been designed by Midlands-based architects Maber.
