Who would you most like to shoot with a paintball gun?

Clients that don’t pay their bills on time, causing small business owners major stress.

You’re God for the day. What’s the first thing you do?

World peace, end world hunger and retire my dad with a comfy living.

Who is your hero?

My dad. He works hard, even though he has arthritis in every bone and joint, never complains and never wishes to be someone or something else.

What has been your worst business decision?

Buying a manufacturing plant.

And best?

Investing in a large property portfolio after the boom and increasing my net worth a hundred times over.

Who or what are you enjoying listening to?

It’s mixed dependant on the mood, but I enjoy classical of all types – and recently heard Jake Bugg.

What is your favourite book or film?

Film – Star Wars; book – Of mice and men.

What would you take with you to a desert island?

A knife.

What characteristic do you most dislike in others?


If you were blessed with the necessary talent, what would your dream job be?

An investment banker.

Face your fears and live your dreams.

What should the construction industry be doing to help itself in the current climate?

Price a job with fair profits in mind.

What’s the best work-related thing you did recently?

Beat my commercial director at squash and then beat him again at paintballing.

An honest, fair, hardworking farther who did the best for his family, staff and clients alike.
