Connaught: Tenders under investigation are a 'small proportion'

Social housing contractor Connaught has confirmed it is being investigated in relation to a number of tenders produced by one of its subsidiaries dating back to 2000.

The firm was yesterday named as one of 112 under investigation for cover-pricing by the Office of Fair Trading.

In a statement, it said: "Connaught was contacted by the OFT in 2007 in relation to a small number of tenders in one of its subsidiary companies dating back to 2000."

However the company said the tenders represented “a very small proportion of the bidding activity” of the group during that period.
