Contractors sought for £650m substation framework

National Grid is seeking up to six contractors for a £650 million framework to build high voltage substations.

The National Grid Electricity Transmission framework is broken up into two lots; the first is for substations operating at 132kV and below in the NGET network for work worth up to £150m and the second is for all voltages with contracts worth up to £500m.

The work could include: project management; site management; substation construction; civil engineering and M&E installation.

Firms interested have until 22 December at 12pm to register for the five-year framework and should contract Neil Goadby via email at or by calling 01926 656743.
