CN100 countdown: Galliford Try

CN’s annual CN100 ranks the industry’s leading contractors by turnover alongside detailed analysis of the industry’s performance and prospects. With the 2016 league set to be revealed next month, we look back at how last year’s top 30 CN100 firms have fared in previous editions.

Galliford Try has been a steady presence in the top 100 contractors by turnover, edging up from 9th to 8th over the past four CN100s.

Revenue has been on an upwards trajectory, a dip between the 2013 and 2014 CN100s sandwiched by two periods of strong growth.

It’s a similar tale with pre-tax profit, which has nearly tripled at Galliford between its 2012 CN100 entry and last year’s.

The 2015 CN100 saw the firm’s margin growth start to flatten out after several significant increases.
