Next week marks the publication of the 2016 CN100, our annual analysis of the state of the industry that ranks the top 100 contractors by turnover. We continue our countdown to this year’s edition with a look back at how 2015’s top 30 contractors have performed in previous CN100s.
SSE Contracting broke into the top 30 of the leading firms by turnover in CN100 2014, holding its form into last year’s edition.
The company’s revenue recovered 7 per cent between its 2013 and 2014 entry, before flattening out as per the 2015 rankings.
SSE’s profit has struggled over the past four CN100s, declining steadily between 2012 and 2014 before falling 81 per cent in its figures for last year’s table.
Above-average margins four years ago have therefore been steadily eroded through to 2015.
