CN100 countdown: Willmott Dixon

CN’s annual CN100 ranks the industry’s leading contractors by turnover alongside detailed analysis of the industry’s performance and prospects. With the 2016 league set to be revealed on Tuesday, we look back at how last year’s top 30 CN100 firms have fared in previous editions

Willmott Dixon has occupied the same spot among the top 100 contractors by turnover for three of the past four CN100s.

After a remarkably steady few years, revenue at the contractor shot up 24 per cent between the 2014 and 2015 rankings.

Pre-tax profit recovered from a dip in 2014’s entry to nearly double as per the following year’s CN100.

Margins however are still slightly below the top 100 average, despite a 0.2 percentage point rise in 2015’s edition.
