Construction News also revealed the contractor is putting clauses into the majority of its contracts so it will not have to pay for damages for problems on projects caused by Brexit.

Crossrail has said it will not publicly commit to a single opening date for the £15bn railway line when it sets a new timeframe for completion of the project next month, its chairman has told MPs.

It was also announced that the head of Battersea Power Station phase two Kevin Bundy is to leave the project, where he has been head of phase two since January 2018, in the spring.
