Exclusive: Bidders revealed for £2.4bn prisons frameworks

Interserve, Lend Lease, Vinci and Wates lead the way with invitations to tender all four £600m MoJ frameworks.

More than 20 companies have been invited to tender for four Ministry of Justice frameworks worth £600 million each, Construction News has learned.

Interserve, Lend Lease, Vinci and Wates have been invited to tender for each of the National, North, South and East frameworks.

ISG has also made all four lists through its subsidiaries ISG Jackson, Eastern region, ISG Pearce, Southern region, and ISG Regions, the North and National.

Mansell has been invited to tender for each of the regional frameworks while parent company Balfour Beatty is bidding for the national framework.

Skanska JV Projects has also been invited to tender for three frameworks – National, South and East.

Galliford Try, Kier, Shaylor Group, Shepherd Construction and Willmott Dixon are each bidding two of the frameworks.

And Bouygues, Carillion, EW Beard, Henry Boot, Laing O’Rourke and Miller Construction have been invited to tender for one each.

Preferred bidders are due to be named in March with five or six companies expected to be awarded places on each framework.

The frameworks will go live in April 2013 and will last six years.

Works covered under the agreements include new build, refurbishment and maintenance of prisons and courts.

South – EW Beard, Galliford Try, Interserve Project Services, ISG Pearce, Lend Lease Construction, Mansell, Skanska JV Projects, Vinci Construction, Wates Construction, Willmott Dixon Construction.

East – Interserve Project Services, ISG Jackson, Lend Lease Construction, Mansell, Shaylor Group, Shepherd Construction, Skanska JV Projects, Vinci Construction, Wates Construction, Willmott Dixon Construction.
