Firms wanted for £58 million maintenance job in the nuclear industry

Sellafield is appealing for bidders for a £58 million contract for electrical and maintenance work on the nuclear site.

Split into four lots, the job involve civil maintenance and repair services, mobile cranes and rigging, plant hire, and the hire of lifting equipment, air hoists and chain blocks.

The OJEU tender notice says four contractors will be appointed to a framework.

Firms wanting more information on bidding can email Phil.Whitwell@SellafieldSites.com.

The Sellafield site hosts a range of firms working in the nuclear industry. New construction projects are set to be worth £6.9 billion from 2011/12 to 2025/26 according to the Sellafield Plan.
