Five target £20m Bank of England refit

The Bank of England has shortlisted five contractors to carry out a £20m refurbishment of its offices in the City of London, close to its Threadneedle Street home.

According to construction intelligence service glenigan, the five bidders are Overbury, Mansell, ISG, Kier Wallis and Mace.

The high spec work on the 10,000 sqm scheme is expected to start in 2012.

The successful contractor is expected to win additional work on smaller projects at the bank’s other London premises.
