Flood risk areas

Yorkshire & the Humber, London and the East Midlands built the most homes in flood risk areas

Data from the Department for Communities and Local Government shows that the regions which on
average built the most homes in areas of flood risk between 2003 and 2005 were Yorkshire & the Humber, London and the East Midlands.

Overall, between 2003 and 2005, 10 per cent of new dwellings were built in flood risk areas.
