Galliford Try ahead of expectations

Galliford Try is expecting final results 'substantially ahead' of expectations this year buoyed by a strong construction order book and a recovering housing market.
The contractor, which bought regional businesses Morrison Construction and Chartdale Homes this year, said the integration of the newly acquired businesses was proceeding as planned.

Its construction business is operating as two divisions, building and infrastructure, following the move and the business has a combined order book of £2.3 billion.

Galliford's housing business completed more than 1,000 homes for the first time and its land bank has almost doubled to 1,054 plots.

The business will announce preliminary results for the year to 30 June on September 7.
