Gleeds win role in Menta’s £500m development

Construction consultancy Gleeds has been appointed to provide cost management services to the £500 million Cherry Orchard Road development in Croydon by Menta.

Situated adjacent to East Croydon rail station, the mixed-use scheme will see the creation of four towers ranging from 23 to 52 storeys, incorporating a mixture of private and affordable housing and 250,000 sq ft of office space, a new public piazza and urban park.

Stuart Senior, managing partner at Gleeds Nottingham said: “The new scheme is set to transform East Croydon station into one of the leading commuter transport hubs in London.”

A planning application is due to be submitted later this summer and subject to consent being granted the project is due to start construction later this year.
