Head banger

I write with reference to the photograph 'Demolition Man' published on page 10 of CN 10 January.
The operative swinging his sledge hammer is not wearing either gloves or eye protection, which I find unacceptable in an age when the focus on health and safety is key to our industry.

As a regular reader of your publication, I would urge all contributors to check that any material they submit is thoroughly scrutinised for health & safety compliance.

To allow images of site workers that demonstrate either total complacency towards, or ignorance of the requirements for the health and safety of their staff and others, is not acceptable in today's construction industry.
