Housing 21 opens bids for £19m installation and repair work

Care home provider Housing 21 is seeking up to 10 contractors to carry out maintenance and installation worth £19m on 450 communal homes.

Lot 1 is worth £14m and covers supply, installation, maintenance and repair of warden call and door entry equipment.

Lot 2 is worth £5.4m and covers further installation of warden call and door entry systems.

Contracts will be awarded for an initial 5-year term followed by a possible extension of a further five years.

Housing 21 has set a deadline of 27 February for receiving expressions of interest.
