01Oct92 UK: ARDON INTERNATIONAL LAUNCHES DEVOLD TELEVEV HIGH STRENGTH WOVEN FABRICS AND TELEGRID PVC COATED POLYESTER.

Ardon International has added Devold Televev high strength woven fabrics and Telegrid PVC coated polyester (PET) geogrids to its range of products.Televev geotextiles are used as soil reinforcement to stabilise road and rail embankments. The woven fabric membranes can also be used as support and horizontal restraint over piles to allow soil 'arching'.Devoid Telegrids are vertical reinforcing barriers which not only allow steeper than normal slopes to be made, but can also replace costly retaining walls of concrete or gravity wall construction. The geogrids can be used for the repair of landslips and slides, as well as for new projects.Other applications of Telegrids include the construction of unpaved or haul roads.Televev geosynthetics are available in tensile strengths from 400-800 kN/m (warp) and 50-100 kN3m (weft). The coated multi-filament grids have breaking loads ranging from 35-60 kN/m along their length and 20-30 kN/m across the weave.
