Ventform, a polystyrene block which prevents the build-up of potentially hazardous methane gas under ground floor building slabs, has been announced by Cordek.The new block has cutaway 'legs' and acts as a shutter, at the same time creating a 65 per cent void area which allows air to circulate freely to prevent methane gas pockets forming.
