Dow Corning Hansil has announced a one part polyurethane sealant for expansion and static joints and has launched a fire sealants advisory service.The new sealant, called Dow Corning 650, cures to form a flexible and waterproof seal claimed to adhere well to both porous and non-porous substrates. It can be used in temperatures from - 40 to 70 deg C and is made for use with potable water.The non-slump sealant is available in white and a grey colour, but can be painted if so desired.The new service helps users to specify and apply the company's fire rated sealants correctly. The hot line is set up to answer quickly any queries.
