Laing Midlands has completed and handed over Birmingham's National Indoor Arena under a £51 million contract by the city council. The reinforced concrete structure has a 130 m clear span frame roof with a 19 m clear headroom. The 15,340 sq m complex contains 8,000 permanent sets with facilities for a further 5,000 mounted on retractable seating and on the arena floor.
