In the West Country, the £40 million improvement of the Okehampton to Launceston stretch of the A40 has been delayed because of DTp amendments to the documents.Work was due to start this month, but now a DTp spokesman will only say that the project will begin 'sometime later this year'.Six firms were due to send in bids last month, but will not now have to return them until later this month.
