Viking Security Systems has launched a low-cost, battery-powered, keypad-operated lock for single door access control. The Viking AL-200 is for installation in offices, nursing homes and students' accommodation. It is believed to be the only system of its kind available in the UK for less than £100. As many as five different access codes of four, five or six digits can be used to release the lock. Codes can be reprogrammed as required. The system allows different users to have access to different areas of a building. Doors can be programmed with a common code to allow many users to enter - others can be programmed with a code known to a few people. An automatic lock-out is triggered when three incorrect codes are entered.Viking Security, Tel: 081-207 3838. CONSTRUCTION NEWS
