Trafalgar House is in one of 19 groups that applied to prequalify for a concession to finance, build and operate the 350 million ECU (£250 million) D5 highway in the Czech Republic. Its partners are Walter Bau, Campenon Bernard and SGE.The 19 groups will be interviewed next week in Prague by the Czech economic policy and development ministry.More than 20 consortia from across the world were invited to prequalify.After next week's discussions a shortlist of up to four ventures will be selected to bid.Alan Cairns of merchant bank Kleinwort Benson said: 'The ministry is expected to announce the chosen partnership at the beginning of October.'Bids are likely to be invited by the end of the year for return by early spring.Kleinwort Benson, which was appointed project adviser in the spring, said the provisional award of a concession will be made next summer.
