A former procurement supervisor with H and G Engineering was remanded on bail at Bow Street Magistrates Court last week, charged in connection with alleged corruption over a contract tender to provide pipes for the Channel tunnel.Thomas East, 55 of Streatham, London, was allowed bail until September 23 with sureties totalling £400,000, but was ordered to be held in custody pending production of the sureties.
