A new metal repair compound has been introduced by Rocol. It is a solvent-free, epoxy putty containing non-rusting metallic fillers.Made in stick form, the two components can be mixed quickly to form a permanent repair compound which bonds to a range of materials which includes glass, ceramic, concrete glass fibre and wood. The repair compound is machinable and is claimed to withstand temperatures up to 150 deg C, to resist chemical attack and capable of being applied to wet surfaces, even under water.Rocol's copper anti-seize compound range is now available in a 250 g tin which has an application brush incorporated in the screw cap lid. This makes the product easy to apply, on site, when a small brush cannot be found. The compound prevents seizure of threaded components in wet, dirty and corrosive conditions. It is suitable for temperatures up to 1,100 deg C.Rocol 0532 866511.
