A range of four portable generators and a welding generator which works off a wide range of hydraulic power take-offs (PTO) have been announced by Redbreast Industrial Equipment. The RGV series of portable generators is powered by heavy duty Robin PRO overhead valve petrol engines. Output powers range from 1,650-5,000 W.Extra large fuel tanks are a standard feature and provide longer than normal periods of continuous operation. This is claimed to be 11.4 hours in the case of the 1,650 W RGV2200 model.Engine protection features include a compact oil sensor that shuts off the generator when the oil level is too low. A double element cyclone-type air cleaner is used on these models and for safety there are breakers in both the AC and DC circuits. The hydraulic PTO-powered HWG200-30 welding generator weighs 17 kg and is made in Finland. It has an automatic speed control valve, allowing it to work with small and large machines. The Dynaset welder is suitable for 2-4 mm electrodes. A 220 V DC auxiliary take-off gives 2 kW output, but is automatically disconnected during welding.Redbreast Industrial Equipment 0604 882088. CONSTRUCTION NEWS
