Arcspray 140, a metal spraying system from Metallisation, is said to overcome problems with explosive gas, poor adhesion, slow coating speeds and high operator skill requirements. The firm says the equipment is as flexible as a traditional flamespray system, but gives 33 per cent faster coating speed, giving a 6 per cent reduction in the equivalent coating cost. The drive motor has been removed from the weight of the hand-held part of the equipment by a synchrodrive system which allows the spray wire to be up to 20 m away from the spray location. It is a mechanically interlinked system, so that no electronics are expected to operate in the harsh metal spray environment. Arcspray 140 is for anti-corrosion contractors, steel fabricators and others involved in arc sprayed metal coatings.Metallisation 0384 252464. CONSTRUCTION NEWS
