A MegaWhale jetting unit from Whale Tankers is the latest recruit to South Tyneside Metropolitan Borough Council's cleansing fleet and is the first of its type to be put into service by a UK municipal authority.A major feature of the new continental type jetter is a moving partition which allows maximum clean water capacity when starting work, but which allows the load compartment to be expanded as work progresses. The moving division also has a built-in load ejector, making tipping unnecessary.Total capacity of the unit is 9,000 litres, but the VariWhale moving division increases the effective maximum to 13,300 litres - up to 6,500 litres of water and 6,800 litres of sludge.Whale Tankers 021-704 3191.
