07Oct93 UK: GLASGOW TO TACKLE RUN DOWN AREAS.

A £1.5 billion scheme to regenerate Glasgow's most rundown areas has been launched by the city's council and development agency, together with Scottish Homes and Strathclyde Regional Council.The group, known as the Glasgow Regeneration Alliance, will push through a massive programme of housing, infrastructure and environmental improvements over the next 10 to 15 years.The programme will kick off with an £18 million scheme to knock down 400 substandard homes in the Drumchapel ...
