Plans by two French companies to carry out infrastructure developments in the Slovak republic are in doubt. In Bratislava, Matra is promising to inject equity to try to get the Bratislava metro started, while Framatome-Cogema-Siemens is set to lose out to Westinghouse for a contract from Cseske Elektricke Zavody, the Czech electricity company, to upgrade and fit out the Temeline nuclear power plant.
