National Power may be forced to abandon an £80 million plan to convert its Pembroke oil-fired power station to burn the controversial bitumen-based fuel orimulsion.Plans were set back last week after UK pollution inspectors said they would not approve the plan without further environmental measures.Two contractors, NEI and Babcock Energy, are vying for the conversion contract for the 2,000 MW station.Her Majesty's Inspectorate of Pollution gave no details, but it is expected to ...
