Brick production and deliveries plummeted in the second quarter of the year, compared with the same period in 1990.New figures from the Department of the Environment show 847 million bricks were made in the second quarter (1,006 million in 1990) and 908 million were delivered (991 million in 1990).Stocks were 1,426 million bricks or about 20 weeks' supply at current levels.Both production and deliveries improved, compared with the first quarter of 1991, when they fell to 809 million ...
