09Aug91 UK: CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY TRAINING BOARD SHOULD PROVIDE NEW REGIONAL TRAINING FACILITIES ACCORDING TO SURVEY.

The Construction Industry Training Board should provide new training facilities to meet regional needs, say firms responding to a new survey.The board asked 2,189 building and civil engineering firms about the use they make of its training centres. Some 30 per cent replied.Of these, 42 per cent though new training facilities were needed to meet local needs, and 88 per cent of these said they would use such facilities if they were provided.There was concern about the travel and accommodation ...
