£100m new homes

HOUSE builders Barratt, Beazer, Fairclough and Persimmon are set to benefit from the construction surge in Greenwich as a £100 million housing development is given the green light. Local landlord and developer Thamesmead Town has been granted planning permission for 1,500 new homes at the Gallions Reach Urban Village. Construction is set to start early in 1998 and take five years.
