Trafalgar House Water Projects has started work on a £5.5 million fast-track project to upgrade sewage systems at Salcombe, Devon.TH Construction will lay pipelines and construct pumping stations to transport waste to a new sewage treatment works at Malborough.The company's tunnelling arm will handle a 750 m, 1.8 m diameter smooth-bore tunnel to carry waste underneath a headland.John Brown Engineering will be in charge of process design and M and E work.The 30-week scheme is for South West Water.
