Work is set to get under way in June or July on a £6 million-plus leisure complex on Blue Circle's 15 ha Medway Valley Park site in Rochester, Kent.Rochester council, after deferring a decision late last year, has now given revised planning consent to the scheme.The project includes Kent's first nine-screen multiplex cinema, together with a 29-lane ten-pin bowling alley, two fast-food restaurants, a waterside tavern and large car parks.Work will kick off with the bridging of railway lines separating phase one of the Medway Valley Park from the 15 ha phase two, which includes the 6 ha leisure park.On the remainder of the site, Blue Circle plans a 5,500 sq m food store and petrol station, together with around 15,000 sq m of offices.- On 80 ha of former Blue Circle land, London and General Properties are set to invite tenders, also in the summer, for the £500 million Blue Water Park retail project in Dartford, Kent.
