10Sep92 UK: BRITISH PETROLEUM'S MILLER FIELD PROJECT IN THE NORTH SEA INAUGURATED.

British Petroleum's £1,300 million Miller field, one of the biggest North Sea projects of recent years, was inaugurated by the Prince of Wales last week.Hook-up work on the platform is almost complete. The drilling programme is under way, although production from pre-drilled wells has already reached 135,000 barrels a day of oil and 240 m cu ft a day of gas. The gas is being used to fuel the newly-built Peterhead power station.
