Ingersoll-Rand has followed last year's introduction of the Pole Drill for utility drilling applications with two lightweight units which can be mounted on smaller auger trucks.The PPD112L and the PPD112LS weigh 454 kg less than I-R's older pole drills and they can be used as downhole drills to produce pole holes in solid rock.No special mounting is needed for the drills and the carrier need not be dedicated to downhole drilling.Using a 600 cfm compressor the PPD112L can drill a 444 ...
