Eastbourne Borough Council in East Sussex has unveiled plans for a £19 million coastal protection scheme on a 6 km of shore between Holywell and Sovereign Harbour.Around 90 timber groynes will be built and approximately 650,000 cu m of sand will be imported to bolster the existing beach. A reinforced concrete flood wall will also be built. CONSTRUCTION NEWS
