Norwich Union has issued a High Court writ claiming damages of up to £100 million against Schal International and Tarmac Construction after a dispute over the massive Galleries shopping centre in Bristol.Construction manager Schal was dismissed from the site in April 1991. Costs overran on the centre, which was completed nearly 12 months late.A Tarmac spokesman said Schal still had to analyse the contents of the writ but was satisfied that it is not 'materially liable'.
