14Oct93 UK: CROYDON CAPER - WHITGIFT SHOPPING CENTRE EXTENSION.

Higgs and Hill has made a quick start on its £18 million design and build management contract to extend the Whitgift shopping complex in Croydon.The two-year job, for Barclays Nominees and the Whitgift Foundation, includes the construction of 24 shops with a covered atrium.The scheme is being overseen by EC Harris Project Management. The architect is Covell Matthews Wheatley with Ernest Green as consulting engineer. CONSTRUCTION NEWS
