An International conference on alternative dispute resolution (ADR) is being held in Los Angeles, California, on November 5 and 6.Jointly organised by the Centre for International Commercial Dispute Resolution, the Los Angeles County Bar Association and the University of Southern California, the meeting is drawing experts from the UK, Hong Kong and Australia.Jim Caldwell, an ADR specialist in Hong Kong, will be one of the speakers explaining dispute resolution methods used around the world.Other topics include dispute resolution in the construction industry with special emphasis on the different types of contract used in the Us; how courts use ADR; mediation; and the use of arbitration in disputes.
